We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

THE Sephora Savings Event has started. This is our comprehensive guide to our favorite makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance products we love. I can’t help but capitalize “THE,” I live in Columbus, afterall. You can read all about some of our favorite picks in this post and check out our Instagram highlights here for more details and showing the items in use.

The Sephora Savings Event

Sephora has two sales a year – one in the spring and one in the fall. The discount that you can shop with depends on the amount of money you spend at as a Sephora Beauty Insider. It is free to sign up and includes great benefits like: free shipping, great samples, offers for great products throughout the year with purchase and the ability to shop with the points you earn. This year the schedule is as follows:

  • Rouge – 20% discount, can start shopping Friday, April 4th
  • VIB – 15% discount, can start shopping Tuesday, April 8th
  • Beauty Insider – 10% discount, can start shopping Tuesday, April 8h

Does the Sephora Savings Event have the best discount?

Sephora Collection items are 30% off – and is a great deal. But for other brands….in short, no. A lot of brands have their own sales during Black Friday or throughout the year that will have similar or better discounts. Yet, I still love shopping this sale because there are so many of my favorite brands that are exclusive to Sephora and some brands that rarely go on sale, like Dyson Hair or the Shark FlexStyle (which is 30% off plus your discount – the lowest price I have seen!)

The best value during these Sephora sales are the value kits, but they usually sell out quickly (fingers crossed this one comes back, I already set my text notifications to alert me if it does!) I think Sephora is a great way for small brands to gain access to a large audience and a lot of the brands I regularly buy from there are the ones exclusive to Sephora vs other stores. I also love the convenience of being able to buy everything in one place and always have access to free shipping. In short, I still spend way too much during these semi-annual sales.

Sephora Savings Event: Top Ten Favorites

We always get overwhelmed covering the Sephora Savings Event because we love so much. As creators, we buy and try a lot more than the average person, so it can be overwhelming to pick favorites when there is a time and place for all of the things we do love. I know a lot of our followers want the best deals and some just want to know they are buying a product that will be worth it. So these are the qualifications we came up with when coming up with our list:

  • A product we would or have paid full price for because regardless of your discount – we are saying it is worth it!
  • Something we love and regularly use
  • Do we have a discount with the brand directly? And if we do, is there free shipping?
  • Is the brand exclusive to Sephora?

Sarah’s Top Ten Sephora Savings Event Picks

In no particular order, here are my picks!

1. Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Clarifying AHA BHA Body Wash – This was a top pick for me last year, too. However this year I also love their moisturizing shower oil in the Delica Drench, a new addition to the collection. This is a top recommendation for me because of how happy the fragrance makes me – I mean it makes me look forward to a shower everyday. It is the equivalent to coffee in the morning. It smells juicy (plum), but also sweet and fresh? And it really has helped my skin because I am exfoliating in the shower regularly. You can hear me wax poetic about the entire line from this post last June.

The Delica Drench shower oil was a present for Rebecca this Christmas, but I ended up using it and loving. I love a shower oil – moisturizing, yet still lathers. I am not usually one for gourmand scents or vanilla, but this ones smells like vanilla and hints of sandalwood. And your skin will never feel stripped after a shower.

2. Theraface Depuffer – I love this thing. It is a portable beauty device that gets cold enough to feel like it came from the freezer or hot enough to soothe aches and pains. I bought it after @goalstogetglowing said it was suprisingly good. I do not usually need to depuff, but the cold function feels so good when your have aches and pains or need some grounding in the midst of a panic attack on a plane (hehe). But what I really love about it is the heat function. As a sinus problem girly, this thing is THE BEST to have during allergy, pollen and any other upper respiratory ailments. It feels so good.Usually I will use with some lotion for some slip or just use it after doing my skincare routine.

3. Dr. Idriss Lip Peel – I have been looking for a lip exfoliator that was not physical (like a scrub) ever since they discontinued the one I loved a few years ago. I have been using since February and my lips are the softest they have ever been, and I think some of the sun damage on my lips is lighter. I roll it on every night before bed and then top with a lip mask. The brand has a lip mask, which I tried but it does not seem to stay on my lips all night like my favorite lip masks do. My favorite lip masks are Fenty Plush Puddin’ in cherry (smells sooo good and lasts all night), Revision Lip Replenisher ($$$, but very thick), Jordan Samuels Lip Balm (cheapest of the bunch – no scent and stays all night!)

4. Huda Beauty Matte Obsessions Eyeshadow Kit -These have been so fun to use everyday and have so much coverage and last all day. Above I did the bottom left color on all eyelids up to brow bone. I then used the middle left color in crease and along eye line. Finally, topped with, with a focus from inner eye to middle of eye, with the Rare Beauty eyeshadow stick in Well-Being (more below).

5. Kulfi Zari Eyes Long-Lasting Crease-Proof Cream Eyeshadow in Sitara Sparkles – This has been a favorite since I bought last fall. If you have hazel, green or even blue eyes, this will make your eyes pop! It is the perfect subtle sparkle with a rosey base. Build up for a night out or use just a little for work. The best part is it lasts all day! I just use my ring finger to dab onto my lids. I have tried a lot of the other colors, and this is my favorite. The Sona Sona is good if you want A LOT of sparkle.

6. Henry Rose Discovery Set – I never liked fragrance until my mom passed. Then I realized how much I could feel her presence just by smelling her old perfume. So I have made it my mission to find a signature scent. And in doing so, I realized how much I love fragrance. It brings me so much joy to pick out which fragrance I will be wearing that day. The lasting power is a few hours, but I love the scents so much I just use this fragrance primer to make them last longer. Just spray, wait 30 seconds and then spray your perfume!I would say each sample has at least 15 sprays in it. My favorite is Jake’s House (ordered a big bottle of it) and Windows Down, which smells like springtime.

7. Huda Beauty Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blush – I have been using this blush since December and LOVE. Where have I been? It is a liquid blush you can dot on your cheeks and it blends out beautifully and lasts all day. I started by using the color Coco Loco, which looks too dark, but ends up blending to be this perfect blonzer/sunburned color for me! I like to layer it under Ube, which brightens it up a little. The best part is it gives a glowy finish, while blurring skin. Magic. Wearing the Coco Loco and Ube in the picture above. But I will be showing it off throughout the week, so be sure to check out our Sephora Highlights for more.

8. InnBeauty Mineral Sun Glow – A weightless, mineral, broad-spectrum SPF 43 that delivers an instant visible glow, lasting hydration, and blue-light protection, in two flexible shades. And even though it was just recently launched, it quickly elbowed out Elta MD as my favorite mineral sunscreen. It is hydrating. Glowy. Comfortable to wear. And it comes in three different shades as to prevent a white cast. I currently using Fair/Light, but want to try the Medium during this sale! We do have a 20% discount for InnBeauty (MYSISTERMADEMEBUYIT20) for 20% off all the time, but still have to pay shipping unless you hit a min.

9. Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Color Corrector – Having dark underyeyes and temple hollows I rely on a color corrector every time I do my makeup. This one edged out the #FAUXFILTER Under Eye Color Corrector in cherry blossom, a favorite last year because it seems to sink into skin a little easier making it a more natural finish for me. I use shade magic. You can check out the secret to applying this and all other concealers in my demo here.

10. Pureology Strengthcure Repairing Conditioner – I bought this conditioner last year when it was on sale for some reason. I did not expect much BUT OH MY GOSH. This is the best conditioner I have used. It is pricey, but conditions like a mask without weighing down hair. You can tell as soon as you wash it out that your hair is going to be silky soft. I used to love the Raincry conditioner, but they stopped making it. This is one of the best replacements for it. I use the shampoo and mask, too and will be re-stocking the mask during this sale.

Extra Credit

11. Rare Beauty Eye Shadow Stick in Well Being – This is one of the eyeshadows I can use everyday, Brightens eyes while giving a subtle shimmer. Very pretty soft and lasts a long time for me!

12. Topicals Clearly Clarifying & Calming Mask – I bought this because I have really dry skin in the winter, but still needed something that would help address my hormonal cystic pimples a few times a month. This promised to gently exfoliate while hydrating and protecting the skin. It has sulfur (helps dry it out), hypochlorus acid (kills bacteria), and azelaic acid (kills bacteria and helps with redness and inflmmation). I ended up using it as a spot treatment at night (it is green) AND OH MY GOSH. It usually takes weeks for my cysts to disappear, and with this it only took three days, with an immediate reduction in redness and pain.

Missy’s Top Ten Sephora Savings Event Picks

1. Obsessed with this scent and price is right. Smells like a luxury hotel/spa (Comfort smells like Westin or Bvalgari The Blanc). Sarah loves the Awaken one, which is more vibrant. It has a peach forward smell, but then ends up being a little floral. It is hard to explain, but they are both great skin scents! Something to look forward to using everyday. If you like the original scent they have a sample size perfume and mini lotion on sale for $15, plus your discount!

2. Have nearly every color of this now and I loved how the natural texture and the look of the slightly faded color. Tres chic. Bonbon Calliqout is a great splash of neutral red/pink but Betise is my everyday favorite. Sheer and chic but with color payoff? You can see more in our Sephora Sale Highlight.

3. Easily a favorite product discovery as of late. Great for dry and combo skin and it’s very my skin but better coverage. Light to medium coverage with the best natural skin texture and glow. I wear color 6- light/medium neutral/cool and it’s sold out but I’m hoping restocks before the general sale. 🤞🏻

4. I came back to this blush palette because I loved it. It’s vibrant and the cream + powder combo makes it last all day. She’s a Doll is my most used color.

5. Another favorite is this Black-owned beauty brand eyeliner with the best brush. Like a fine paintbrush and a no-run liner. Hope she comes out with a brown tone.

6. A great starter brush set for 30% off. You can make an entire eye look with this set and it’s great for travel.

7. I can’t stop loving this lip product. It’s the best cool-tone pop of pink and pairs well with a nude lip. It’s my favorite lip oil, and it’s not even close.

8. This color corrector is a Sarah find but, wow, do I love it. Dark circles who? Hoping my tone – Illusion is restocked.

9. An annual pick I can’t quit for the best glow – alone or under or on top of foundation- very versatile. I use shade 4N. Sarah uses shade 3, which is a shade darker than her current shade. Same with my shade.

10. Clarins Lip Perfectors are still a favorite and I have yet to find a thick gloss/serum with color payoff and a texture I like more. Rose Shimmer is the best my lips but better color for everyday. Toffee for a perfect rosey pink lip. I know some people are obsessed with the British Monoarchy, but I stopped caring about them after my obsession with Henry VIII. However, this is one of Princess Cate’s favorites, too.
