THE Sephora Spring Savings Event has started. This is our comprehensive guide to our favorite makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance products we love. I can’t help but capitalize “THE,” I live in Columbus, afterall.

The Sephora Spring Savings Event

Sephora has two sales a year – one in the spring and one in the fall. The discount that you can shop with depends on the amount of money you spend at as a Sephora Beauty Insider. It is free to sign up and includes great benefits like: free shipping, great samples, offers for great products throughout the year with purchase and the ability to shop with the points you earn.

This year the schedule is as follows:

  • Rouge – 20% discount, can start shopping Friday, April 5th
  • VIB – 15% discount, can start shopping Tuesday, April 9th
  • Beauty Insider – 10% discount, can start shopping Tuesday, April 9th

Does the Sephora Spring Savings Event have the best discount?

In short, no. A lot of brands have their own sales during Black Friday or throughout the year that will have similar or better discounts. However, there are some brands that rarely go on sale, like Dyson Hair or the Shark FlexStyle (which is 30% off plus your discount – the lowest price I have seen!)

The best value during these Sephora sales are the value kits, but they usually sell out quickly. I think Sephora is a great way for small brands to gain access to a large audience and a lot of the brands I regularly buy from there are the ones exclusive to Sephora vs other stores. I also love the convenience of being able to buy everything in one place and same day delivery in my area. In short, I still spend way too much during these semi-annual sales.

Sephora Spring Savings Event: Top Ten Favorites

I always get overwhelmed covering the Sephora Spring Savings Event because I love so much. Picking my top ten favorites was even more overwhelming, which is why it ended up being a top eleven.

I am going to approach the Spring Savings Event by listing out my top ten eleven favorites. It does not mean I do not like anything else. It just means that I have taken into consideration: How much I use it, how much joy it brings me, is it exclusive to Sephora, is it a good deal, etc.

#Fauxfilter Under Eye Color Corrector

1. #FAUXFILTER Under Eye Color Corrector – Check out my before and after above – that is with no concealer on top – just the color theory doing it’s job! This is good to pick up at the Spring Savings Event because it is a brand that is exclusive to Sephora.

    • Purpose: To conceal those dark circles! But don’t be mistaken – this is not concealer. It just uses color theory to help cancel out those bluish/purple circles under your eyes – a must for me.
    • Why I like it: I have tried so many color correctors and bought this because Missy (my sister) told me to. Go figure. The coloring was perfect for my cool toned skin (I first bought Pink Pomelo), but more than that – it was hydrating, layered well under concealer and lasted all day without settling into fine lines.
    • How to use: Apply a few dots under eyes – sometimes I also put on my temples because they can get a bruised appearance. I dab them in with my ring finger. Then I apply concealer on top of that and blend in with my concealer brush. Voila!

    2. Henry Rose Discovery Set – I never liked fragrance until my mom passed. Then I realized how much I could feel her presence just by smelling her old perfume. So I have made it my mission to find a signature scent. And in doing so, I realized how much I love fragrance. It brings me so much joy to pick out which fragrance I will be wearing that day. A lot of times this will be excluded in other brands sales, so the Sephora Spring Savings Event is a good time to buy!

    • One of my top favorite brands is Henry Rose, which I first tried at a Nordstrom while waiting for Missy to finish shopping (also go figure). I bought the discovery pack and found not one, not two, not three, but four fragrances I love! I would say each sample has at least 15 sprays in it. My favorite is Jake’s House (ordered a big bottle of it) and Windows Down ( just ordered a big bottle of it).
      • The lasting power is a few hours, but I love the scents so much I just use this fragrance primer to make them last longer. Just spray, wait 30 seconds and then spray your perfume!

    3. Skinfix Acne+ 2% BHA and Azelaic Acid Acne Spot Treatment – I love this spot treatment. It works the best for me and really helps get rid of pimples that have come to a head or even helps bring those deep ones to a head. I also love to use in conjunction with this blue light LED wand Goals to Get Glowing recommended. Use the wand first, then I use the treatment.

    • I also added in this face wash and love it! I used to use the iSClinicals Complex Cleanser and switched to hydrating second cleanses, but I think I need a second cleanse with some acids in it. This does a great job without drying out my skin.

    4. Topicals Ingrown Hair Tonic – This is a roll-on that you use after shaving. I like to wait a day so it does not burn, but it is comprised of an AHA and BHA so it helps those prevent and treat ingrowns. My best friend always gets really bad ingrowns on her bikini line and said this has helped so much! It lasts forever, too. The bonus is if you use it underarms, it will also help eliminate odor-causing bacteria. Win-win!

    5. Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Clarifying AHA BHA Body Wash – This is probably the top recommendation for me because of how happy the fragrance makes me – I mean it makes me look forward to a shower everyday. It is like the equivalent to coffee in the morning for me. I liked their other fragrances, but it was not until I tried this body wash that I fell in love. I think the body wash smells the best out of the other variations. It smells juicy (plum), but also sweet and fresh? And it really has helped my skin because I am exfoliating in the shower regularly. You can hear me wax poetic about the entire line from this post last June.

    6. Ceremonia Aceite de Moska Pre-Shampoo Scalp & Hair Oil – I love this scalp oil – it has improved my scalp health so much! I no longer have an itchy scalp, my hair feels softer and it seems counterintuitive, but my hair feels less oily. You can apply it to your hair, but I use the OGX Coconut Oil for that ( the $8 miracle hair oil) and save this for my scalp. Just Shake Well. Apply a few drops to your scalp. Massage in. Leave in for 10-15 minutes ( I leave in overnight). Then wash out.

    7. Haus Labs Bronzer – I tried this bronzer during the last sale since Haus Labs is exclusive to Sephora. it is so good. It can be so hard to find a good bronzer with cool undertones, but they have a lot of different shades with cool undertones. It does not have a shimmer, but does give you a glow. I love it because it feels so soft – almost like a cream – and lasts all day. I use this brush to apply, which is 30% off.

    8. YSL NU Skin Tint – A multi-year top ten product – and something I always receive positive feedback on from followers. A lightweight skin tint with hyaluronic acid and buildable light-to-medium coverage for a fresh, dewy complexion. I have a lot of foundations and skin tints, but I still default to this one for everyday makeup – even date night makeup. I do not like when foundation is too matte and this is perfect for me because its a little hydrating, but also a little matte. It looks like your skin, but better. I shade up in skin tints – a shade 6 in winter and 7 in summer. I like to dispense into hands, rub my hands together and then press it into my face. Then blend with a brush or beauty blender!

    9. Inn Beauty Mineral Sun Glow – A weightless, mineral, broad-spectrum SPF 43 that delivers an instant visible glow, lasting hydration, and blue-light protection, in two flexible shades. And even though it was just recently launched, it quickly elbowed out Elta MD as my favorite mineral sunscreen. It is hydrating. Glowy. Comfortable to wear. And it comes in two different shades as to prevent a white cast. There are some 20% discounts out there, but it is the best deal to go through Sephora because they have $5.95 shipping unless you spend $49, so you would save $7, but spend 5.95 shipping. So even if you have 10% discount – it is good!

    10. Clarins Cryo Mask – I know I do a lot of paid ads for Clarins, but I truly love this mask and the Double Serum. It brings me a lot of joy and feels SO DAMN GOOD. I love the cooling effect, but more than anything, I love how my skin looks and feels after using it. I like to apply and then wipe off with a wet cloth. Or you can use a dry cloth if you need the moisture. I wear it as long as I can, but wear it at least until it turns clear. I have even worn over night as a night cream. It is an incredible base for makeup, too. And feels so good when you have a migraine or sinus pain. I get about 12 applications in one jar!

    11. Makeup Forever Lip, Cheek and Eye Liner – I love this liner. I have it in about five shades, but use the Wherever Walnut most. It is great for cool undertones. But I also like Anywhere Caffeine and Up and Down. It blends beautifully into your lip without completely disappearing. You can use it on your cheeks. I like to use it as an eye liner and then add to the crease and blend in for a mini eyeshadow look. It is adaptable! Great cost per use!
