It is easy to get caught up in the frenzy of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but this post will help you navigate our favorite buys and what to avoid during the sale. This year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts on July 8th, 2025 and ends August 3rd, 2025. The day that you can access the sale to shop is based on whether or not you are a Nordstrom cardholder or a rewards member (Nordy Club) and what your spending level is at Nordstrom.

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is unlike other sales in that it had discounted and designer exclusive items before the season begins. It is also a sale where you can expect discounts on some things that rarely or never go on sale – like our favorite pajamas, jackets, luggage, and towels.
No. The sale opens to the public on July 12th. Both Missy and I are Nordstrom cardholders because it is one of the few luxury department stores in Columbus. Oh, and Missy worked in the handbag department throughout college. This is a big sale for the employees and a big portion of their salary. If you live near a Nordstrom, they do increase in-store inventory for the sale. If you go into the store and something is not available, the salespeople can order. The salespeople in store rely on the commission from this sale – so if you live near one, go in and visit them! The store will often still have stock of things that sell out quickly online. If you do not live near a store? Never fear – our favorites.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items are limited quantity, so some items sell out. That is why it is so important to download the Nordstrom app and add things you want to your wishlist. When they are re-stocked, you will get a notification on your phone!
The sale features similar items from year to year. This is our sixth Nordstrom sale as an influencer, and usually the same things that go fast one year, will go fast the next. However, a lot of our favorite things do not sell out until after public access – it is probably why we even like them in the first place – we were actually able to buy them! This year, I really do think Nordstrom stepped it up and added more colorways and variety of a lot of our favorites.
Missy used to work at Nordstrom throughout college, so she has always been a pro at this sale! It is how I discovered a lot of my favorite things from the sale that we post about every year – like the Hydrocotton towels (love the new stripe colorway!) and the Moonlight Pajamas (which are back to their original glory, they had a bad year back in 2022.) We don’t always pay a ton of attention to the fashion, with exception to a few pieces we know we like, like Spanx Air Essentials, and the coats. The coats are always a great deal and go quickly! But I must say, this year I feel like they added a lot of great fashion, jewelry, and accessory options. We will share a little of both.
Below are our tried and true favorites:

Hydrocotton Towels – Missy has been using these for 8+ years and I have had the same set for at least three. They are incredible towels for the price – fluffy, soft, and wash well! In 2024, they were reformulated to use organic cotton, but I purchased a few bath sheets last year to test before the sale to make sure they passed the test – and they do! They feel the same to me and wash just as well. Highly recommend the Bath Sheet size and keeping extras around to give for housewarming gifts or for a guest bath.
Paige Jeans – Missy has a few pairs of these jeans in different cuts that she always receives compliments on. She was always talking about how comfortable they are – stretchy, hugs your curves, but never stretch out. I was jealous I could not try them, but then I found out they make them in plus size!
I tried a pair from Anthropologie (they only have plus offerings there and their website – use code SISTER15) and I GET IT. Seems unbelievable that I spent that much money on jeans, but feel so good in them. Below Missy is in a few of the fits on sale. The Sasha, which is loose-fitting but still professional style jean – this is her most used style.
The Nordstrom sale features one pair of Cindy jeans in a darker wash. She also likes the Anessa jeans, which are an ankle length wide leg jeans, which fit her similarly – just cropped. They also have a darker wash Anessa style this year, which is great for work.
Moonlight Eco Pajamas – The short set (PLUS) was one of the first things I ever purchased from the Nordstrom sale. They were incredibly soft – almost too soft because I never wanted to put on real clothes!
A few years ago, the quality had gone down and they did not feel the same. However, I was gifted a pair for Christmas and they seemed like they were back to how they were. I bought another nightgown and can confirm (along with the other 4 DMs from Nordstrom employees and countless DMs from others) – they are back! The sale is 100% the best time to buy them! I prefer the short sets and the night shirt. They also come in long-sleeves shirt/pants and short sleeve shirt and cropped pants.There are so many new cute colorways this year but this polka dot shorts set (or nightshirt) is the one on my list. They run a little big, but don’t size down.
There are also some ribbed Moonlight pajamas. I initially did not consider them, until last year, because I don’t want ribbed pajamas – I want soft pajamas. However, Missy tried them on in store in store last year- and OMG. SO SOFT. I feel like they are somewhat similar to the Skims ones, so if you have been wanting to try those but don’t want to spend that much – try these. Here is Missy in them last year, (sandals and all,) I think they could be used as a set that you wear outside the house. I have the shorts pair. Bio Ionic 1.25 inch Curling Iron and Straightener – You have certainly heard us talk about how much we love this brand and the hot tools. I don’t think I have ever seen this included in the sale before and I am very excited about it. The straightener is so good, and there really is no comparison. It is also great for curling and creating a bend in the hair. They have Missy’s favorite curling iron for loose waves and volume – the 1.25 inch long barrel included. Great for medium to long hair or for adding volume. Nordstrom has such a great return policy, so now would be the time to try and feel confident in your purchase.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – I have yet to find a better hair product that multi-tasks like this one – absorbs oil, adds some hold and still gives you volume? One bottle of this is $52, so this is a great deal as you rarely see it more than 20% off.
Adidas SL 72 Sneakers – Missy just bought her first pair of these in a bright color and won’t shut up about how much she loves them. She tried on like 43 pairs of sneakers at Nordstrom in NYC and landed on this style. And they have some cute colorways for the sale. In women‘s, mens, and kids sizing. For those who love the Gazelles, they have a coral/faded red Gazelle included in the sale and they are very cute.
Longchamp Mini Bag- This brand hardly ever goes on sale, so the best time to buy a bag is during the sale. I bought one of these two years and LOVE it. It holds a lot for being so small. I like to keep my phone, wallet, sunglasses and lip balm in there. It makes it easy to switch purses or just take that out if I need to leave my tote somewhere while I do something else. They NEVER go on sale, and I think this will sell out.This year, they have a new style of larger, packable tote in nice wine color, now in a waterproof material, too.
Away Luggage – NEW to this year’s sale, very excited about this one. By far, the most suggested luggage brand when we polled our audience. They have a great customer service policy and so does Nordstrom – so a win/win. Just in time because my dog ruined my Paravel carry-on. They have a carry-on, the bigger carry-on (a lot of you recommended this one,) and both 26-inch and 29-inch checked bag options. I know these will sell out – the colors are very cute.
There is also a Beis carry-on – This will sell out. It always sells out every year. Missy and I both have Beis checked luggage. It is a luggage company created by an actress and influencer – and you can tell. She thought of all of the details. There is a padded trolley handle to make rolling it across carpet more comfortable. lowest price you will see on them is during this sale. Usually, it is secondary colorways like this one included.
Spanx Air Essentials – Okay, they added some good ones this year. This year they included the half-zip sweatshirt– easily one of the most popular styles. In two great neutrals. They also included the wide-leg pant and a mini version of Air Essentials dress we love. Just an FYI, all of the pricing on the Air Essentials is cheaper than you can buy from Spanx – even when they have a sale.
Monica Vinader Solitaire Pendant – Missy has an almost identical pendent from this brand. Delicate, yet eye catching. We always get questions on it when she wears it! A great gift for yourself.
Cole Haan Shoes – James loves Cole Haan shoes – especially these work shoes that feel like tennis shoes. A great option for him now that he is back in the office more often.
Honorable mention: Baby Bjorn Bouncer – This is one of my nephew’s most used items. When we surveyed all of our followers about what their baby must-haves – this was at the top of the list for everyone. I was skeptical – why spend so much on a bouncer when it is not new technology? But there is something about it that makes it so responsive to the baby that they can soothe themselves, or you can bounce. Jon LOVES it. This is a great deal because it comes with a toy bar, which is like $50 by itself and a carrying case. Because you will want to bring it everywhere. This will probably sell out.
As mentioned, we also love using the sale as a time to buy jackets and coats. Missy pulled together her picks into collection of some great rainjackets, fall jackets, and coats.
For a more budget-friendly option for rain – the Zella rainjacket is a great option. You can see it on Missy from last year’s sale. New to me for the sale, this Hunter Rainjacket is great and perfect for dressing up or dressing down.
This Barbour Waxed Barn Jacket is on her wishlist as well as this Barbour rainjacket. If you have been with us for a while, you know Missy wears a moto jacket with everything and this All Saints Balfern Moto features a gold zipper. Missy owns this style and the leather is lush.
Missy also added this This Jenny Bird wrap necklace and All Saints utility leather bag to her wishlist. She does not even have an Apple Watch but this Michele Apple Watch Band is cute enough that she might actually get one now.
